Materials: Layered stained glass, stone. Size: 24"x32". Private collection. This is a visual impression of a forest fire that is 100% un-contained. Most of the forest is engulfed in spontaneous flames resulting in charred trees and rising smoke. Whether caused by the human negligence or the forces of nature, forest fires are dual in their character- they are treacherous and spectacular at the same time. A spiral emphasizes this duality of a forest fire- everything inescapably funnels into its center, and at the same time there is a dramatic movement spiraling out of the picture plane. This artwork is part of “Forces of Nature” mosaic series.

Materials: Layered stained glass, glass rounds, glass rods, millefiori. Size: 33.5"x33.5" plus frame Ocean can be infinite like the Universe. In this composition stars are reflecting in a turbulent water vortex. The title partially comes from A.C. Clarke's "2001 Space Odyssey" where David Bowman exclaims "My God, It's Full of Stars" before disappearing into a black slab's void.
Materials: layered stained glass, cement, legos, various tesserae. Size: 18”x36”, framed. This project was created for a "Symbols of Judaism" exhibition at the Museum of Biblical Art in Dalas, TX. Yulia's own take on parting waters of Red Sea is pictured as two vortexes parting away to expose an area of land in a dessert where crops can be grown and settlements built.
Materials: Layered stained glass, smalti, stone, gold, glass rods, millefiori, diachronic glass, and monoprint collage. Size: W 32” x H18”. In this artwork two viewing perspectives are overlapped and reflected upon each other in one single frame, one being of the city lights visible from space, and another one of a starry sky visible from Earth with Eridanus (The River) constellation flowing through in a diagonal direction.
